Children form attachments with many people in the first three years of their lives. The type of attachments we form in those early years can become the base from which we build our relationships with others in the future.

Each family is unique requiring very specific and complementary interventions for all members involved in the following process. The service I provide is designed to increase attachment between family members.

Free Consultation

The first part of the process is a free one hour consultation, where the family meets with me to discuss concerns and desires for the outcome of the services.

Observation

Following the free consultation, I will observe the family twice for one hour on two different days. During these two observation sessions I will be taking notes about any information that may be relevant in creating the intervention plan.

Intervention Plan (IP)

At the end of each observation session I will discuss relevant information among all family members involved. An intervention plan will be created and all family members will sign the document as a commitment to the interventions that will be applied during the application process.

Application

This is the fun part! All family members who have signed the IP will be responsible for their part in gaining the desired results for the whole family. I will be coming to the home once a week for four to eight weeks to observe the family's progress.

During this time I may engage in the intervention process by demonstrating alternative behavior or phrasing, rearranging the environment, or making alterations and/or adjustments to the IP as needed.

Review

At the end of the application process there will be a review of the progress made. If the intervention plan has been completed the family can decide to end services at that time. If the family decides the intervention plan has not been completed or there are more areas they wish to improve, a revision of the current IP or a new one can be created with different goals.

Continuation

This is a four-week commitment to a new or a revised IP with a review at the end of the four weeks.
